Eine wunderschöne Sommerhochzeit in einem großen Zelt auf dem elterlichen Fachwerkhof.Read More
A flower crown, a great colourful bouquet, a little church on a private, historic manor, and a relaxed wedding reception in a rustic barn.
This is definitely one of my favourite weddings this year! Look at all the details - calligraphed by the bride herself and organized by her weddingplanner Sophie. Tons of flowers, cozy blankets, homemade lemonade - just have a look:

These 'brides' are an inspiration for keeping it simple, beautiful and in their very own style...
A bit bohemian, a bit "undone", very natural. With a bouquet that looks like picked from a meadow next door, a gorgeous dress with some delicate details and a glowing make-up, that underlines their natural beauty.
Think out of the box - why not wearing your beloved denim jacket instead of this old school satin bolero? Why not buying these heels you always wanted instead of white satin shoes you'll never wear again?
You love your long hair? So why should you wear an updo?
Another important thing to me on your wedding day: pictures during sunset. Unfortunately fewest bridal couples have time for a shooting at that time of the day - but for being honest: this is the best time with the best light. Just the last glimpse of sunlight and the beautiful skylight after sunset ...
If possible I try to do at least a 10-Minute-Shoot after your cocktail hour/ reception or after the first course during dinner...
And if there's no sunshine? What if it's rains?
Oh, then I won't take any photos and you can't get married...
Or: let's grab some umbrellas, search for dry places and have some fun in the rain - how about that?
If it rains on your wedding day, this rain belongs to your wedding day. It's the reason why everybody is dancing all night long without thinking of a pause and going outside. So let the rain be a part of your day and make the best of it.

Last year in september these two lovebirds tied the knot and celebrated a dream wedding!
I know Carola since a long time, as she herself is a professional hairdresser and usually styles the brides on their big day. But finally the day of her own marriage arrived, and I had the honour to keep all the memories and beautiful moments for them!
The day started - of course - at the beauty salon, where lots of friends and bridesmaids got styled for the wedding day. Carola went home for getting dressed, Jan-Dirk got dressed up at a friends house nearby, so I was able to capture both of their getting readys.
They saw each other for the first time when Carola walked down the aisle in the church with her father. Lots of emotional moments followed, I had a hard time to keep my eyes dry.
Afterwards friends and family had some time for coffee and cake, whilst the bridal couple and their flower girls went on a little photo walk with me.
It was a beautiful and relaxed day, with lots of love and a few surprises for Carola and Jan-Dirk! I still start swooning when I flip through their pictures - so now it's your turn:
A modern fairytale...
A wedding ceremony in a tent, surrounded by their (musical talented) friends and family and their dearest dog, who brings the wedding rings and stays by their side in this precious moment! Can it get any better?
The autumn wedding of Monja and Christoph was really special and filled with love! The groom told us - during his speech before dinner - that there's a meaning to the pumpkins, which are decorated everywhere at their wedding location. It was a big coincidence, that both of them brought a pumpkin to their first date! Just because it was the time of the year when there are these little booths at local farmers markets, where they sell the orange vegetables and both decided - independently from one another and against all common traditions - to bring one as a little gift. What are the odds???
You see - these two are a match made in heaven, and not only because of the pumpkins ;)
The last wedding of the year 2015: a civil ceremony in the place where i grew up, my hometown.
These two newly-weds celebrated their wedding just as they liked it - and that's exactly why I like their wedding so much! A touch of Boho, a few vintage elements, giant balloons and a lot of love - that's all it takes to create such a great wedding day!
Last year I had so many beautiful weddings!
The wedding from Margriet & Bas was one of my favourites: a small laid-back, stress-free garden wedding with family and friends from Germany and the Netherlands, all together.
Their civil wedding was in the morning at an old castle, Wasserschloß Fürstenau. After the ceremony there was a little reception and lunch with their family. We had some time to make beautiful portraits around the castle, and afterwards we headed towards their home, to spend a lovely afternoon in the shadows of Bas' apple trees.
Later the day we drove to "Forsthaus Maiburg" in Bippen, where all guests where invited to celebrate with the newly-weds and enjoyed the warm summer night.
If you look closely, maybe you'll discover Margriet's little baby belly :)
